Artist Profile

Phil Gamblen

A former gem cutter from Canada, Phil Gamblen now works as a visual artist in Perth, Australia where he graduated from Curtin University with an Honours Degree in Fine Art.

His interest in the intersection of art, science and technology is reflected in both the content and medium of his work. He utilises mechanical and electronic systems to produce both solo and collaborative interactive art projects.

Gamblen has completed numerous public art commissions which has led to experience in the coordination, design, construction and installation of large-scale site-specific artworks.
