Aaron Seymour
Aaron C.N. Seymour (St. Maur) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Boorloo, Perth, Western Australia. Aaron has been deeply involved in the arts, co-founding creative projects and spaces, showcasing and performing at renowned venues, and working in Melbourne’s music scene as a DJ, event manager and artist manager. Since moving back west, he has completed his postgraduate studies in Fine Arts and is now focused on reviving his creative career and has been extensively researching, developing and representing his Burmese heritage and history through his paintings, jewellery and sculptural works.

Aaron Seymour – Nyaung-gan
Inspired by the ancient site of Nyaung-gan in the Chindwin River Valley, where Bronze Age artefacts were first discovered, Seymour’s work reflects on Burma’s rich history, from its abundance of jade and teak forests to its linguistic and cultural legacies. Though not born there, the act of sculpting, painting, and designing has become a bridge—deepening the artist’s emotional and spiritual connection to Burma, threading personal narratives with themes of identity, memory, cultural continuity and political discourse.
