Jake Coghlan

Jake Coghlan is an artist specialising in sculptural design and fabrication based in Donnybrook WA. Living in South Western Australia has greatly influenced Jake’s work which often responds to how identity is linked to the natural environment. Predominantly through the medium of steel, Jake’s work draws attention to the manner in which memories, both personal and collective are linked to place while also exploring how our engagement with the landscape alters it. Rather than a statement of fact, Jake’s art functions as catalysts for discussion and he encourages open interpretation.
