Tim Macfarlane Reid
Tim Macfarlane Reid was born into a family of artists, immersing him in a world of visual
creativity from an early age. A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, he has been a full-time sculptor for over 30 years, exhibiting in numerous solo and group shows across Australia. Based in Fremantle, his practice is deeply influenced by the natural world and the philosophy of Jean Arp, who believed that “Art should lose itself in nature, should even be mistaken for nature.” Specializing in large-scale outdoor sculptures, Macfarlane Reid creates works that echo organic forms found in the landscape.
