The artwork Rua, Gaelic for red or the colour of a fox, comes from exploration into Irish Celtic heritage’s myth around the Fox, metal craft and celtic knot art. The sculpture began from drawings of bodily forms and anatomy studies of a fox woven with mechanical fabrication and renderings to create shadow interpretations of skeletal figures. The process led to a swift silver and copper structure resembling a hybridised industrial creature.
