Sleeper self-portrait #12 continues a body of work using reclaimed railway sleepers. These works explore simplicity of form in their arrangement. The sleepers are burnt and waxed, keeping the manipulation of the surface to a minimum, such that the subtleties of the marks provide an insight into their history.
