Volunteers play an integral role during our exhibitions and are an essential part of the spirit and experience.

Join our CREW!

Sculpture at Bathers is a not-for-profit organisation supporting Western Australian contemporary artists. The exhibition relies on the generosity of local sponsors and a dedicated team of volunteers.

In 2020, over 140 volunteers worked a total of 1600+ hours to ensure the success of Sculpture at Bathers.

Volunteers are an integral part of our exhibition and key to the experience of Sculpture at Bathers. We respect and gratefully acknowledge the contribution of all our volunteers.

Dates: Saturday 19 February – Monday 7 March 2022

As a Sculpture at Bathers volunteer you will be

  • Responsible to Volunteer Coordinator
  • On site for 3 hours at a time at Bathers Beach and Kidogo Arthouse, Fremantle

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and encourage visitors to explore the whole exhibition
  • Promote the sale of artworks
  • Encourage People’s Choice Voting (prize for voters)
  • Encourage survey completion/conduct visitor feedback surveys (prize for contributors)
  • Answer visitor questions
  • Conduct general minor security
  • Identify safety hazards and report any incidents
  • Assist with tidiness and cleanliness of event site
  • Create a positive experience for visitors

Skills and attributes:

  • Desire to meet people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to relate well to others
  • A sense of humour
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time in sunny weather
  • Trustworthy and reliable team member

Commitment:

  • To notify the Volunteer Coordinator within 48 hours if unable to fulfil a scheduled shift
  • Attend one of the Orientation and Induction sessions at Kidogo Arthouse, Bathers Beach
  • 6pm-6.45pm on Wednesday 16 February 2022
  • 11am-11.45am on Thursday 17 February 2022
